Margi is on the wild beach

I took Margi's ashes to the wild beach yesterday. I walked along the beach, thinking of Margi and our walk a few months back along this coast. She loved this beach and the day that we had taken our walk, there were young seals migrating though jumping in and out of the water and older seals who would just pop their heads out of the water and silently watch us. Margi loved the wildness of this beach. Yesterday I walked along and came upon this tree branch structure that created a large "M" and knew that this was my sign from Margi. I walked in a circle and left Margi's ashes there and in the surf. There were some dead seals and birds on the beach that day and I felt that Margi is not alone and that beach just reeked of swirling life and death and the combined creative forces. Namaste Margi.

I was saddened today to learn from L2K Art Gallery director Edward Lightner about Margi's passing this summer. I first saw Margi's work at the L2K in LA before her show and immediately purchased one of her travel pieces. In her October 2006 L2K show, we met in person, and I purchased a second piece. As a corporate wellcoach, I worked with Margi on-line a bit...friendly chat about health and hope. I am so honored to have known her and have some of her work close to me, my wife, and my children. Her spirit WILL live on in my home as for years to come. I will tell my children and visitors about Margi's positive outlook despite ominous challenges. I was struck by her comments about her Tibetian doctor that told her to laugh at least three times a day...these words still speak to me, and I use them now in corporate presentations on health and attitude. The last piece I purchased was a laughter theme. I will forever remember Margi and her smile...and our photo together at L2K where I asked her to pose with me in a bicep flex for strength which she immediately performed. Thank you so much Margi. My children will know you. God speed...you made the world a better place...namaste'

My children will grow to know you Margi...your spirit for living a positive life will live on in my family and with the visitors to our home to see and feel your work. You made the world a better place...that is a GOOD life! God speed my friend...thank you.

Three of us here in New Mexico gathered in the Sandia Mountains to honor our dear friend. This was the place of our youth when Margi & I shared studios at the University of New Mexico during graduate school. She loved the outdoors and she hiked these trails frequently while living here. Our hearts are still so heavy. We appreciate being able to read your thoughts and experiences with her since we saw her so seldom once she started her travels around the world.
